Don’t Be Left Behind

This is definitely one of my more political images. It’s a play on Bush’s “No child left behind”, which in my opinion does leave children behind from the aspect that poor schools get little or money, and even more so, his desire to add creationism to a science curriculum. I would have less of a problem teaching it in a religion or philosophy class, but it surely isn’t science.

I’m fascinated by the inner workings of evolution; the more I read up or see on it, the more interesting it becomes. This, of course, is in addition to my general love of learning.

The text reads: the natural world / is always learning / don’t be left behind

This one was made as an exercise in not only abstract imaging, but also spheres:

Atmospheres

I love using geometric shapes, as you may have already noticed (or soon will). This one was intended to be a desktop wallpaper, but also works as just an abstract image. It’s part spacey, as planet-like spheres float further into the darker center. The quasi-spaciness was intentional, though I did not intend them to be planets. The one thing I like most about this image is how the spheres brightly reflect the subtle background.

Down

Taken in Burbank, California, April 2007

Interesting how the gate draws your eyes directly to the few leaves below; anything at an odd angle generally grabs my attention.

Over and Over

One of those randomly spewed out strings of phrases placed in a perfectly nauseating pattern.

Another made up word. Love it!

Fabrecation

Not actually a Fabergé egg, (a Ukrainian Easter Egg) though the play on words was - to me - unavoidable. The other half refers to the occasion being prepared within. And of course its a “fabrication” all over; it fits because of the sheer surreal atmosphere I created.
