The Magic Pot
This is one of the first images I did I really liked. Also one of the first instances I really used layers. First I took a shot of silver pot doodads at my boyfriend’s mom’s house. I desaturated it almost entirely, leaving only a hint of color. Then added several layers of the same flower, changing the saturation randomly.
Personally, I love the message of this image; the bold colors coming from (close to) greyscale symbolize optimism. Sometimes finding color in a grey situation can be difficult, but can never hurt.
