Scraps

Using bits and pieces of my old poetry and random writings, I created what I can only refer to as dark, girlie notes. Many of these words were from college or even high school (anywhere from 5-10 years ago).

Some of the text reads:

I was all dressed up and nowhere to be- / My keys in my pocket but my wallet was empty

And (including what cannot be seen):

It’s found in the pillows and in the sheets / and the filthy decaying American streets / If I had a dime when you take what’s your’s / I’d only have what made me poor / I’m living in the city but not the streets because the price for freedom is cheap / But the price of maintenance, the upkeep

And:

One day you’ll / finally understand.

Also:

I heard your silence permeate the room

Once you see the entire lines, you can tell what text I covered which I purposely did because I feel those points are the weakest moments.
