Smooth Glass Typography Tutorial
I came this awesome list of Photoshop typographical tutorials. The thing with PS tutorials is that while some do not easily convert into Gimp tutorials, while others easily do. The is one of those former ones, only due to layer styles.
I was intrigued with the Smooth Glass Type Tutorial and immediately wanted to try it. But, as you may have guessed, no layer styles. However, if you download this script for The Gimp, you get a slightly different version of PS layer style, through scripts that work just like filters.

I used the same basic steps. Since the options are different, it’s hard to get it exactly so. Being that this is my first time doing this tutorial (and quickly I may add), its not the same. However, with some finagling, I’m sure it could be.
