We Wish
That we wish
may be hollowed of light,
Softly encapsulating frozen winds
in splintered crates
And carted off into the night.
That we wish
may never be revealed
As the stream of rays reflect
every solemn shape,
Neglecting the shattered shield.
That we wish
may never inhale spring,
Flailing stems fail systematically
among murky waters-
In between busted smoke rings.
What ever it is
that devours every inch
Of our dusted singularity,
is as easily forgotten
When we forget what we wish.
