Pacifically

In this one, I duplicated the layer of the original, less intense image (seen below). I, then added a grain merge (at 50) to create an HDR-like effect. Taken off of Santa Monica Pier, California.

Hollywood, Blurred

Taken in Hollywood, CA.

The following poem refers to the notion of people blindly following something, anything (a trend, a meme, a religion) just because the “in” crowd - or masses - is doing it:

Overcast throughout the moment
Gutted sides, hollowed backs-
Drifting toward sounds with no
Pronunciation; bent without cracks.

Grainy draining, pushing further
Past the faceless crowded cell,
Gaining hazy blurred truths
They all hear but never tell.

Written August 2006.

Idlewild

The original images were taken at a Hollywood club (July 2007). The image of the partying crowd was added to the sole Corona bottle on the chair shortly thereafter.

Nature’s Dancefloor

A friend of mine is a club promoter; I was taking pictures one time for him. So I figured, What better place to put a crowded dancefloor than on a leaf? Hah.
