Outside the Box

Random bits of poetry and positive saying are portrayed here. It’s not intended to be campy corporate buzzwords as someone commented on the Flickr version. Hah! I was actually using bits and pieces of inspirational positive thoughts, alongside vector doodles and other swirls and techy designs.

The text reads:

Finding the cycle / and breaking it
trials vs. errors
seeking truths, finding freedom
spiral outwards / beyond current knowledge

To explain:

  • Sometimes bad cycles need to be broken, no matter how many trials and errors it may take. It can be about a wide range of things, from going green to bad personal habits.
  • Freedom arises (in my mind) from knowledge. “Knowledge is power”…and power can lead to understanding as well as true freedom.
  • Spiraling outwards is far better than downwards. :) Sometimes up is the way, yet sometimes out is a better way for seeking anything beyond what is so-called current knowledge.

Scraps

Using bits and pieces of my old poetry and random writings, I created what I can only refer to as dark, girlie notes. Many of these words were from college or even high school (anywhere from 5-10 years ago).

Some of the text reads:

I was all dressed up and nowhere to be- / My keys in my pocket but my wallet was empty

And (including what cannot be seen):

It’s found in the pillows and in the sheets / and the filthy decaying American streets / If I had a dime when you take what’s your’s / I’d only have what made me poor / I’m living in the city but not the streets because the price for freedom is cheap / But the price of maintenance, the upkeep

And:

One day you’ll / finally understand.

Also:

I heard your silence permeate the room

Once you see the entire lines, you can tell what text I covered which I purposely did because I feel those points are the weakest moments.
