My own take on doing an OOB, or Out-of-Bounds type of image. I decided to take regular ol’ palm trees and have them grow out of a framed picture. The palm trunks as well as the sky and clouds are dim and unsaturated within the frame. As they extent taller than the frame, the colors are far more saturated, emphasizing the beauty of standing strong.

This is my aunt & uncle. One of my reasons for loving the original image (seen below) is simply the way they are looking at one another. I removed the blotches, cleaning it up all the way around. But like the sepia tone so I decided to enhance and balance it with a dark violet frame. Originally, I intended to have it on a white background but wanted to change it to a black background for display on this site. Yet all my original files were lost to a Vista upgrade. Since I really don’t think cutting the framed picture out of the white background (in the current png) would look nearly as good as working with the original xcf files could.
