She yelled and screamed
Like fire on ice;
She bellowed and schemed
Pins on a bed of rice.
But when she woke up,
Her maps became stains
On all the trust and love;
None did remain.
I wrote this poem in late 2002 after a falling out with a friend. One of my English college professors helped me after class with some of my poetry, including this one. She liked the imagery, and helped me improve the wording. It is one of my favorites because of it packs a lot of punch with a few words.
