Although I can’t quite recall exactly what inspired me to write this piece, I believe it reflects the need for a positive, happy outlook after a darker period of confusion.
Skating on icecaps
Packed tightly in sheets-
Millions of tiny spaces
Condensed, watching
Empty vessels pass
Through big city streets.Fierce teeth melt
Behind me as each drop
Waters a new glimpse
Of light,
Dripping grey mass
Of angst and dirt
Softly flow out of sight.
