I went surfing for interesting images at MorgueFile just to see what I could find. I found this image (seen below) and really liked her eyes. I did some basic retouching and added purple color to her eyes and lips. Or is it fuchsia?  Or magenta? Color names are slightly different for everyone so I’d go by #901192 or something of the like.

Which says:

A forked figure reaching out
Beyond her shadow- with claws
Sharpened on the backs of
Those surrounding. Tiny flaws
In the plastic; it rips as it fades
Into the murky puddle of vile
Hollowing eyes. She stretches
To replace fervor with thick bile.

A sharp, serrated edge strikes fiercely by-
A chrome reflection that catches my eye.
Only a mere scratch the length of a fly
But blankets my vision with an overgrown sty.

Desperate for reason while baring none at all,
She’ll stand atop her crackling pedestal
Then stares below, always preparing to fall-
Instead, smashes her fruit against the wall.

I used an image I snapped of myself after my wedding, that’s why my makeup is “professional” looking. Normally, I wouldn’t wear that much.

I made this several months ago and wasn’t sure if I liked it or not. Here it is in any case.

They are all my eyes and the original nature photo was taken in Hollywood, CA.

There’s no real meaning; I just took a photo of the CNN building in LA when the sky was dark …and look where it took me! I cut the lightning from lomo shots of light streaks and made the eye from one of radial eye gradients that come preloaded in The Gimp.

An odd collage I created. There’s not much more to say than that.

Just a simple pic I took of myself and then slightly altered the contrast and curves.

The text reads:

This one was inspired by Nine Inch Nails’ Year Zero, displaying a general fear of humans becoming labels or numbers. Perhaps, there’s a little 1984 influence there as well.

A dark one for certain. This is my face but I have brown eyes so I added lighter green to enhance the contrast between the colorful eye and the grey flesh around it. In addition, I enhanced the contrast within the eye: the red and white. This image plays off a general fear of humans being numbered like machines (or cattle).
