Just a little something I cooked up using a stock photo via Comstock/Jupiter Images. This simple and refreshing image took a couple hours and was intended to aid me in relieving stress. Not sure yet if it worked.

An orange-yellow blur of a photo. Its part sensual, part ethereal alien abduction. I am not sure what happened here, but I like the result.

I sat down today to make an abstract something or other. And I believe I succeeded. Enough. So, what did I do?

I started using layers upon layers of different textures and brushes.

This happened.

Bright Lady, Jesus, and Moses light up

So Eric and I set up the Nikon and used very slow shutter speeds with statues, figures, an LED, and a lighter. I’m sure can figure out which one’s which. All photos are a collaborative effort. In some cases, I was shooting while he was lighting and vice versa.

Jonas Brothers

For this image, I waved the camera around in a circle pattern while using a very slow shutter speed. I looks like a camera toss, yet it is not (the camera never left my hand).

Taken in front of El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA. I guess the Jonas Brothers were performing (or going to perform) in concert.

Abducted

For this image, I used a slow shutter speed, while moving the camera slightly. Additionally, I used flash compensation, and by that I mean, way over-compensation. While no one was sitting on the couch next to my husband, this picture implies a sort of UFO abduction. Somehow there aooears to be a science fiction effect with no manipulation. Nice.
