The title of the “movie”, Citizen Of The Planet, is an Alanis Morissette song (from the album Flavors Of Entanglement) that fit in with the image. That’s all, really. I used it because the woman in the photo reminds me of Alanis. And, for the record, I’m aware that there is nothing ironic going on here.

I feel so small.

I feel so big.

An odd composition I came up with. I’m not %100 sure what I mean by it, but it has to do with the feeling of bigness and smallnes coinsiding or overlapping. Plus, something about the spaces in between. Honestly, it feels very meaningful to me but I’m not really certain why.

For this image, I used a slow shutter speed, while moving the camera slightly. Additionally, I used flash compensation, and by that I mean, way over-compensation. While no one was sitting on the couch next to my husband, this picture implies a sort of UFO abduction. Somehow there aooears to be a science fiction effect with no manipulation. Nice.

I began with this Photoshop tutorial. While attempting to convert the steps to that of The Gimp, I also consciously decided to make mine mine, by using different types of rock and grass. In addition, I changed many of the “decoration” items on top of the island. The castle, fairies, and weeping willow seemed a better fit for this fantasy scene.

I created this galaxy with The Gimp. For the “sun” in the center, I layered a few different types of flares, mostly the gradient flare. The stars and planets are brushes available for download at DeviantArt. Forgive me, I cannot recall which deviant made what star brushes. I use so many and make so many of my own; it all gets fuzzy. The polka dot pattern can be found within my polka dot brush set. There’s also some pinching (sans whirling) going on.
